White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre insisted at a Monday press briefing that President Joe Biden wants the house to pass the Ukraine spending and border legislation proposal sent down by the Senate. Ms. Jean-Pierre was asked by a reporter about house speaker Mike Johnson’s floating the idea that some of the aid money going to the beleaguered nation could be sent as a loan by means of a new bill.
