Venezuela election officials announced authoritarian President Nicolas Maduro received 51% of the vote. However, opposition leader Maria Corina Machado, who was banned by Maduro’s government from running for president earlier this year, says presidential candidate Edmundo Gonzalez was ahead by 40 points in their latest tallies.
