Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) questioned former Michael Cohen-lawyer Robert Costello during a Wednesday House Judiciary Committee hearing on the weaponization of the federal government. Mr. Gaetz sought to determine whether Mr. Cohen, who operated as a lawyer to former President Donald Trump, had lied to prosecutors about the former President in the run-up to the current New York trial.
The Florida representative asked Mr. Costello: “Is Michael Cohen a liar?”
“That doesn’t begin to describe him,” Mr. Costello said. “He lies at every opportunity when it’s in his favor.”
